Very last one from my time at the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic! Not everyone is a resort person, but I am the resortiest. Sitting on an island with literally nothing to do but swim in clear blue water while eating and drinking everything in sight? And you don’t even need any money, because you’ve already paid for everything? True, some of the food was pretty terrible (truly inedible pizza at the lunch buffet every day), but some of it was really good, and I’ll gladly put up with a crappy slice of pizza for the absolutely carefree feeling that comes with having no responsibilities, where the toughest decision you’ll make is whether to get up early for the main breakfast buffet or sleep in later and go to the beach breakfast buffet. TOUGH LIFE.
