We took a walk along the Seine, passing the Pont Marie bridge, because everyone had told us that having a picnic along the banks of the Seine was an absolute must, and I wanted to see the grass and sand. That’s truly what I pictured when people said “banks of the Seine”. A river, leading to some sand, leading to some grass. Like I haven’t lived in a big city for 12 years. So this is what the banks of the Seine look like. A sidewalk. Still beautiful!
