We spent most of our afternoon at the Palace of Versailles in Hameau de la Reine, the Queen’s Hamlet. Built in 1783, it’s a little village that Marie Antoinette had built to give her a quaint, rustic escape from the massive palace and all its finery. I already told you–Queen life is ROUGH. This is the gardener’s house, or la maison du jardinier. It was so perfect in its adorableness that it kind of reminded me of Disneyland. Except with sheep and rabbits!
