We ate a lot of great food in Madrid, but if I had to recommend just one restaurant, it would be El MiniBar near the Royal Palace of Madrid. We drank tinto de verano (duh) and ate their ham on bread with corn nuts, variety of croquettes, crispy boar rolls with portabello mushroom sauce, and the Tapa Bretón, grilled goat cheese with tomato jam and coriander oil. We tried ordering different things, but our waitress steered us to these, and thank goodness she did. All of them were incredible, especially the Tapa Bretón, and they were served in such an inconspicuous setting with that awesome granny mural on the back wall. I still think about this food all of the time!
