A friend recommended @lcaracoles in Barcelona to us for dinner, and we thought he had steered us wrong when we sat down and found ourselves surrounded by photos of the celebrities who had also dined there. It was a tourist trap, we thought. But then the food was outstanding! I had a perfect paella, and my fiancé had an oxtail dish that I couldn’t help but steal too much of. Turns out it’s not a tourist trap but just a place that’s gotten popular because the food’s so good.
