Thai rolled ice cream at @juicyspotcafe, which first introduced the phenomenon to the U.S. in NYC, but I traveled all of the way to Boston to try it for the first time! If you haven’t seen it made before, they spread the liquid ice cream base onto an anti-griddle (basically a metal surface that freezes stuff instantly), mix in things like crushed cookies, use a spatula to scrape it off of the anti-griddle into several big rolls that they arrange in a cup, and then top it with all sorts of things! I got the cookie butter (speculoos), and my friend got the lychee. I thought it would be more of a novelty than anything, but it really did have a different texture, and the flavors were great!
