In Zakopane, we ate lunch outside on the patio at Karczma Bacówka along Krupówki, the famous promenade in the center of town. We had bacon-wrapped dates, sauerkraut soup, pierogies, and these placki ziemniaczane (potato pancakes) covered in goulash and cheese.
