Everyone comes to @olea_mediterranean_taverna in Fort Greene for brunch, but it’s the Mediterranean happy hour that I’m there for. 1) Beef meatballs with red-wine-pomegranate-rosemary glaze, yogurt, and toasted almonds, 2) grilled pita (or endive!) with dips, 3) Tuscan kale salad with shredded kale, lemon-olive-oil-caper dressing, sundried tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, and fresh sheep’s milk pecorino cheese, and for my entree, 4) a daily special that was chicken with loads of sliced garlic and crispy skin that I hope becomes a regular menu fixture.
